Is your accommodation in central Reykjavík and your limbs are sore after a long hike/flight/drive? How about dropping in at the tiny 101 Yoga Studio, located on the lovely Njálsgata street, for some active recovery? Good yoga routines can be among the best medicine available for tired muscles.

The teachers behind the studio offer sessions for travellers. If you can´t make it to their daily scheduled classes they will find a time that fits you best. 101 Yoga offer classes in English, Spanish, and Polish for those who are interested in yoga in their own language.

The price for a single class is 3.000 ISK (26 USD/24 EUR) and for a 60-90 minute private session it is 9.900 ISK (87 USD/80 EUR).

Njálsgata street is located just off the bustling Laugavegur, the capital’s main shopping street.

After the yoga session Iceland Magazine recommends heading for refreshments at either of two excellent spots that are next door to the studio:  You will get great coffee at Reykavík Roasters (Kárastígur 1, 101 Reykjavík ) and Brauð & co (Frakkastígur 16, 101 Reykjavík) is the best bakery in town.
