Philippe Clause lives in Seyðisfjörður on the east coast of Iceland where he shares a home with a dog named Títa, chickens Britney, Whitney, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Mariah and Freddie the cockerel. In summer Philippe manages a little pop-up shop where he sells his original crochet clothing to locals and tourists alike.

Top three things to see and do in Seyðisfjörður according to Philippe:

  1. Spend a day in Skálanes, the bird sanctuary at the extreme end of the Fjörd and if the weather is good, take a nap by the cliff.
  2. Get the dish of the day at Skaftafell Bistro and draw on the paper tablecloth while waiting for your food to appear.
  3. Bump into an artist in residency at the local pub, Lára, and have a few drinks together.
