The Sheep Farming Centre in Sævangur is located just outside the village of Hólmavík, Westfjords. The museum focuses on all things sheepish, including the history of the stocky, short-tailed Icelandic sheep, lambing season and the annual rounding of the sheep.

This Saturday, August 16th, Icelandic sheep-farmers will gather at Sævangur and compete for the national title in ram-judging.
Traditional meat soup and coffee will be served during the competition, which begins at 2 pm.
