ÍR‘s annual New Year‘s Eve run takes place on 31 December. 1,275 runners took part in last year’s run and, according to the National Broadcasting Service an even larger number of runners are expected to take part.

Many runners do the race dressed in fancy dress, making the event more fun. The 10k race begins at Harpa Concert Hall at 12 pm. Registration takes place online and on site.
