It’s Friday and Icelandic rapper Emmsjé Gauti has just dropped a brand new song, and a video with a great Reykjavík vibe. It’s directed by Magnús Leifsson, who received an award for the best Icelandic music video in 2014.

You can catch a glimpse of many well known local music heroes in the video. Among those doing cameos are brothers Logi Pedro and Unnsteinn Manuel from band Retro Stefson, rap duo Úlfur Úlfur, rapper Gísli Pálmi and members of rock band Agent Fresco. The rockers are Emmsjé Gauti's regular support band when performing live.

The song, called “Strákarnir” (The Boys), is by Auðunn Lúthersson and it’s mixed by Ingi Már and Jóhann Bjarkarson at ReddLights.

Emmsjé Gauti will perform at The Iceland Airwaves this year.

Enjoy!
