A poll conducted by the research firm RRF for Visit Reykjavík shows that 97% of those who have visited Reykjavík this year were either happy or very happy with the city. Not a single respondent had a negative impression of the city.

Almost all respondents, or 98.3% said they would recommend Reykjavík to others. According to the local news site visir.is this is the best outcome in comparable polls since they were first conducted in 2004.

The poll revealed that visitors from Scandinavia, Britain and North America were more likely than others to be pleased with the city. Travellers who were older than 55 years were also more pleased than those who were younger. Out of the many items visitors were asked to rate, the swimming pools of Reykjavík received the highest grade, as did day trips offered by tour companies in the city. Visitors were least likely to give shopping in Reykjavík a high grade.
