According to local news site Vísir, Lolo Fred, Soreda's aunt, says her family didn't know she had gone to Iceland until Sunday, five days after they last heard from her.
Fears of the worst due to history of depression
The aunt says Soreda has suffered from depression for a while and that the family fears the worst.
The family is unaware of why she chose Iceland. The aunt says she brought camping equipment even though she has not been known for camping in the wild.
Soreda is said to have left a letter for her father, telling him "she's proud of him".
