  • Shock and horror, but tastes good While it is not as popular as poultry, beef or pork, horsemeat is a delicacy consumed all over the world. It should also be noted that horses are not an endangered or a threatened species, unlike puffin and minke whales, which many Reykjavík restaurants offer. Photo/visir.is

The reality TV-show star Kim Kardashian arrived in Iceland with her husband, musician and entrepreneur Kanye West and a large entourage plus friends and family, on Sunday morning. After the couple had toured south Iceland they came to downtown Reykjavík where they are staying at 101 Hotel.

After their trip to South Iceland the group celebrated the birthday of Kourtney Kardashian and ate dinner at Grillmarkaðurinn, a popular restaurant in downtown Reykjavík. But before the group could sing Happy Birthday to Kourtney, her sister Kim posted a video on Snapchat of her friend Jonathan Cheban ordering and tasting a horse steak. While Cheban declared the steak was just delicious Kim was less impressed, expressing her sadness and horror with a crying pony-emoji.
