Highway 1 (the Ring Road) was closed by Hafnarfjall mountain in West Iceland this morning due to the storm. The medium wind speed was measured at 28 m/s (63 mph/101 km/h) with stronger bursts.

Conditions on Reykjanesbraut road, linking the capital to Keflavík International Airport, are difficult but the road remains open.

The storm is expected to have calmed down around noon.

Update at 10: The road by Hafnarfjall has been opened, but drive carefully. Expect strong bursts of crosswind until at least noon.
