“This is very exciting news and a great honour,” the composer told RÚV yesterday. The Theory of Everything is a British biographical drama directed by James Marsh. The film tells the story of renowned physicist Stephen Hawking and Jane Wilde, his first wife, and stars Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones.

In late August this year Jóhann was hired to compose the music for the film Sicario, starring Emily Blunt, Benicio del Toro and Josh Brolin.

The Golden Globe awards are organized by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) and are the biggest awards event in Hollywood after the Oscars. The ceremony takes place on the 11 January and will be hosted by actors Amy Poehler and Tina Fey.
