A tasty visit to the Kaldi craft beer Brewery
The micro brewery Bruggsmiðjan, located in the small town of Árskógssandur, offers guided tours around the brewery.
Over the past years Kaldi beer has become a favourite among beer connoisseurs, both local and international. The tour, which lasts about an hour, begins with a taste of the brewery‘s products, then the guide will explain the brewing techniques and give an introduction to the factory‘s history.

View cows going about their daily business while enjoying a cup of coffee
Kaffi Kú is a small, family run café located on the farm Garður, only ten kilometres (6 miles) south of Akureyri. Kaffi Kú, which translates directly to Café Cow, is a small café located on the farm Garður, only ten kilometres (6 miles) south of Akureyri.
The café was built in the attic of the farm’s ultra, modern cowshed which means guests can view the cows going about their daily business while enjoying a cup of coffee, a pint or a tasty snack. Not to mention of course the beautiful view over Eyjafjörður Fjord.

A good place for Sunday brunch in the town of Akureyri
“That would be 1862 Nordic Bistro, a restaurant situated in Hof, the town’s new Cultural and Conference Centre. It has great food and a beautiful view over the harbour.”
Recommended by Margrét Helgadóttir, a lawyer from Akureyri.
