Today is National Burger Day in England and in honor of the festivities The Independent created a list of London's best burger joints. The top spot in the rankings was taken by the Icelandic joint, Tommi's.

Known for its simplicity, Tommi's Burger Joint is an expansion from the Icelandic burger joint called Hamborgarabúllan. Located at a few spots in downtown Reykjavik as well as the surrounding metropolitan area, the popularity of the small restaurant chain led the owner Tom Tommason to start serving his American-style burgers abroad.

There are now locations in England, Germany, Denmark and Norway due to the success of the Icelandic chain of restaurants, which have all received rave reviews. Now Tommi's can add the "best burger in London" title to its impressive list of accomplishments.
