Beautiful video of the Aurora dancing over the Westfjords

The Westfjords and Eastfjords are two of the best kept secrets of Iceland. Small fishing villages, steep mountain sides and narrow deserted fjords make the Westfjords the perfect destination for anyone looking to experience the tranquil beauty of Iceland. The roads can be difficult, espcially in the winter, but the detour is certainly worth it!

Last fall, in late August and early September, an American photographer and film maker Ric Taylor visited the Westfjords and the Eastfjords, shooting this stunning video of the Aurora, proving that you don't need to come in the middle of winter to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights!
