Ásmundarsalur museum in downtown Reykjavík has been put up for sale. The Icelandic Confederation of Labour (ASÍ) owns the gorgeous building which operates as a gallery. The house was built in 1934 and was once home to sculptor Ásmundur Sveinsson.

According to Morgunblaðið newspaper, the reason ASÍ is selling the property is because the gallery has been operated at a loss for the past years.

The bright and spacious building is 320 square metres (3,444 sq ft) in size and can easily be converted into a comfortable family home.

The property is located at Freyjugata 41, across the street from the famous Hallgrímskirkja church and a short walk away from Reykjavík's bustling Laugavegur street.
