The city will install the slab of wall by the historic house Höfði, by Borgartún street, not far from the centre of the capital. US president Ronald Reagan and Soviet premiere Mikhail Gorbachev met in Höfði in 1986. The summit is  believed by many to have marked the beginning of the end of the Cold War.
